I'm not saying it was the best decision to target a professional tool over a more general more affordable one. ![]() It's a professional grade tool and that's overkill for most people. If the screw driver ends up even close to that quality, then they're actually under pricing it.ĮDIT : I'm not saying you should buy one. Meaning they are turning a much larger profit margin. The SnapOn in question, the one Linus used on screen for years? It currently retails for $89 new and it's made by a larger company in much larger quantities. Tools that are built to be bought once and used for 2-3 decades. This item is built to be a replacement for professional tools like the SnapOn ratcheting screwdriver. They're made cheaply, they wear out quickly, and their mass produced in ridiculous volumes to be able to sell them that cheap. Yes you can get a screwdriver with interchangeable bits for $15-30. Tons of people are complaining here about the price of the screwdriver, their clearly comparing it to standard interchangeable bit drivers at Walmart or Lowes.
